  i was listening to zep's dazed and confused today and the rocking middle section of that song never ceases to amaze me - john bonham was from a different planet, was completely insane, or both.

  nothing i've ever heard in any other song quite compares to that.. honorable mentions:.

  Neil Pert seems to be the choice of this thread and he IS one of the very best of all time, I have to say (with props to Avishai and despah) that Danny Carrey from TOOL could beat Neil Pert and his meat at the same time. He is truly a prodigy.

  i was thinking while watching the new star wars film last night that when it first happened it was truly outstanding....so what other movies grabbed right from the off.

  brubaker...where bob redford as the prison governer enters the prison undercover as a prisoner.

  One of my favorites by far is the opening scene from "Way Of The Gun"- "Tell that c**t to shut her hole or I'll come over there and f**k-start her head!"-Then full pandemonium ensues. Good stuff. Or the opener for "Scary Movie 2" with James Woods and Andy Richter is pretty sweet too.

  Are the Demons Really Everywhere?

  our witness family was obsessed with demonism.. at a very early age, i was introduced to strange stories of demonism.

  a brother in the congregation had brought home a souvenier doll from a tropical island as a gift for his daughter.

  the daughter would talk about how the doll would come to life, but the stories were dismissed and attributed to the child's imagination.

  I grew up in Utah and let me tell you, there was a whole set of JW demon legends that sprung up in Mormon country. My personal favorite was the one about two bros who went to the house of a prominant LDS official and got into a heated debate over who was right and wrong about (insert scriptural topic here). and as they left the house and got into their JW mobile, the rear door of said vehicle opened and an unseen presence got into the car with them. The bros drove around with this spectral guest in their ride until they stopped in front of a Mormon church. At this point the bro driving the car said to the "demon", "this is where you get out." Supposedly the door opened and the minion of Satan got out of the car. Wow! I still can't believe I let myself actually believe this rediculous load of feces.

  "Good News of the Spirit" - My idea of good news of the spirit means that someone just bought me a shot of good single malt scotch.

  "Dungy Idols"- I always hated that one.

  "Demonized"-Please.

  "Young Ones"-Isn't that a British sitcom from the '80's?

  "Jehovah"-Let's face it..it's not a pleasant word to say in public. Kind of like "vagina", or "colostomy bag".

  My best friend has a cabin in Hood Canal about 2 miles south of Hoodsport. We go there quite often to fish and do some crabbin'. (Crabbin Cabin). I guess that really doesn't have any bearing on this thread. Sorry to have wasted your time.

  Please Keep whyamihere & her little son in your thoughts today

  hello everybody...my daughter (in-law), whyamihere/brooke, has been at the hospital all day with her little boy, 1 yr. 4 months old...who has had such a bad case of the flu that they had to hook him up to an iv for fluid.

  he was sick all last week and then was getting better...then took a turn for the worse yesterday.

  can't keep anything down.

  So sorry to hear about your (and Brooke's, and her liitle boy's especially) hard times right now. Young kids are pretty resilient though, I'm sure he'll probably be fine in a couple of days. When I was just a little guy, I used to get strep throat to the point of 104 degree fevers. My mom and dad used to rush me to the hospital all the time. I pulled through it though. I'm sure Brooke's son will too.

  JW is caught swearing on PEOPLE'S COURT

  i'm watching people's court right now while i'm surfing the net.

  and perked up when i heard the words "kingdom hall".

  turns out the plaintiff, an elderly woman, is a jw and mentioned during her testimony that she was on the way to kingdom hall when her car started knocking and making noises.
